Here's what the O Great WW posted just this morning for everyone who didn't see it

Sounds cool. I wasn't expecting an update until like mid October, at the earliest. With this new info, I would say late October, early November sounds about right on it's release. I'm completely fine with it personally.

If WW really wants to get to a certain section then that means he's excited to do that part of it. That also usually means it's going to be some insane shit happening.

Okay so while we are waiting for the Long Update (which I'm all for), I want us all to put our thinking caps on for a bit.



I feel like this is a detail overlooked by most people. This is the line in particular:

Keywords; "the first moment I saw you." "From your parents," "to your scars..."

So we know that Ella was MIA for a year and in that time frame all but confirmed got her powers and lost her parents. Most likely homeless for a time, explaining why she has a soft spot for the orphans (being one herself at a time). We also know while different in age, the MC ALSO went MIA or in this case RAN AWAY from home but this was DUE to his mother's death, albeit a little time after it, for a couple of months/a month (can't remember).

It's possible they met during that time as per the familiarity found in her Memories via the sheets:

I'm assuming on that last line the us is referring to the homeless men? That the MC mentions took care of him (too lazy to find the line).

Now that begs the question...how did we forget her, and more importantly...how does she know our parents?!

Our Dad? Sure, MAYBE she knows who he is via just stalking us, though I doubt it with how much even WE never see our Dad. But more importantly, how does she know our Mom so well that she sees it as a similarity to herself???

As far as we know even to ourselves our recollection of her is hazy if not suppressed by some deep internal or external force so...how is she so sure of her when even we aren't ourselves?

If we truly DID meet up with her during the gaps in our disappearances and that was AFTER our Mother's death, there is literally NO way of her knowing who she is to the point of familiarity. Unless...she knew us further back than we originally thought?

Keep in mind Ella DOES NOT have the Memory Trait. She wouldn't be able to dig in our heads let alone make us forget about her sooo, what gives? Before anyone says she just had the 3rd do it keep in mind:
A. She doesn't command them.
and
B. We didn't have our powers at the time anyways, therefore we didn't have their interests either.
MAYBE she shapeshifted into a homeless man at the camp we stayed at so we didn't recognize her as her; but that still doesn't explain the Mother thing.



Anyway thoughts? Am I looking TOO into it? Or like all things with Ella; is it something much deeper...

Edit: A little sidenote I also find odd is...why did Ella experiment with shapeshifting in front of her Professor in Highschool? She already had her power for 2-3 years by this point so...what was that all about? Or am I forgetting/missing something...

Don't think it's possible for Marcus. He did all of that before Alice was born and while she was a little girl. Alice herself is 4 years older than MC. So MC would still be inside Syla or an infant when that was happening.

I feel like our weakness to electricity is weird, someone else was talking about it earlier in the thread and it just doesn't make sense does any other superhuman have a SPECIFIC weakness, sure some are more squishy than the physical tanks but none of them have simple thing any human could use that just insta kills them. there has to be a reason why the mc chosen one dual traits arbiter connected messiah who has the potential to become all powerful can just get one tapped by some dipshit with a tazer

MC Mom died when the MC was 12 to 13. Ella is 3 years older than the MC and already had her powers by then. It's not really surprising that she knows the MC's parents, if she was stalking him since before he ran away after said event.

We already know she's a stalker and she was like 15 to 16 at the time the MC got in his accident and Syla "died". She already had her powers. We also know she was going around looking for candidates and such so her knowing MC's parents isn't really anything special. I'm sure she knew Emily's parents and others too as she was scoping their kids out along the way as well.

My point is that Ella in her OWN MEMORIES makes it seem like our first encounter was (allegedly) at the Homeless Camp. So why does she draw our Mother AND Dad as familiar if her stalking didn't happen until after the death? I'll link my little post analysis here for those that missed it:

I just had a random thought: What if Ella died because she knew about MC's dual trait? Other times she found out it ended bad for the MC. So, from a narrative standpoint an easy way of just keeping her "motives" consistent is by having her killed off. Idk if this matches the chronological order of events, but didn't she discover it around the time HERO snatched the MC and his friends? From this moment forward it wouldn't be as simple as just showing up and taking him away like before. Because she was stalking him previously? Like I said, Ella had her power a year or 2 before the MC's mom died. If you look at the timeline, it's not weird that she scoped him out and then later met him at the camp. I'm not seeing what's the big reveal here personally.

MC said his mom died a year ago or months ago when he met Deryl for the first time. That means he was around 12 to 13 when it happened, in terms of age range. Ella got her powers at 14 and she's 3 years older than the MC. So she was around 15 to 16 when that happened to the MC. We know Ella stalked Emily before encountering her at High School when she was a freshman(14 to 15). Emily is the same age as MC so we know Ella during her teen years was looking for other candidates to be infected. It's not surprising that she knows of the MC's parents.

So with that out there, what's the problem here? Unless I'm just not getting your point, there's nothing contradictory about her knowing of the MC and then later meeting him for the first time in person.
