Damn, I remember this was pretty good, but it's been literally years.

I vaguely recall there being some type of competition or bet between the female MC and the antagonist and that she had quite a bit more agency than what we usually see in NTR games.

Could anyone summarize in spoilers the plot prior to the current update? That would be really appreciated.

Been so long I forgot about this. Loved ver 1, the dev should just focus on either game or comic and once the comic or game is completed than move on to some thing else.

No choice in the game. V 1.2 is the start of 2.0, so the Kanon PoV. The choice it grants is in the starting menu whether you would start with Hiro PoV(TDK 1) or Kanon PoV(TDK 2) first is probably recommended

It is a stand alone in the sense that it is not part of the canon Kanon timeline. There was a timeline posted on Patreon a while ago I think for the different releases chronologically to the story. The releases being Valentine, Cosplay, Gyaru, Teaser Date, Trip, Xmas and what comes after, not in any particular order or relevance to the story as I put it here.

Nooo not mystery NTR I should of read that I literally played the game and was thinking the whole time how shit it was because nothing was happening and the stuff it did show was almost nothing. I wouldn't recommend playing this.

Indeed, I would also not recommend, If I didn't want to see what was happening I would read a book.
I just pressed control to see what actually was gonna happen and I saw there was a kanon's POV in the menu but it's just the half the dressing room scene and some conversation.
Not interested in the story if there is no meat on the bones so to say. Maybe dev will do something about that in the future, but it's been like this for 2 and a half years or so so I would not think it will change. Also very short for a game that's been around since dec 2020. Unless v1.2 and v1.0 has diffrent content, as i've never seen this game on this website since i've been on here updates are not frequent.
But then again whatever "mystery NTR" implies, not knowing what happens and things happening off screen is one of my biggest pet peeves in porn games.
So this game is probably not for me to begin with. The main character being oblivious is one thing, the player being left out of the loop not getting the juicy details is just annoying to me.
