The tone with which the author wants us to watch his incest gay rape scene for "plot" is hilarious, as if a decent storyline in a porn 3D visual novel required a very serious, dramatic, gruesome and vile kick off - and you have to interact with it, because the author wants it so.

If this had been approached in terms of "Please be warned, this game contains content relating to rape, incest and male-on-male content as part of the plot. All other content is avoidable. Thank you.", I would have given it the benefit of the doubt even though there's no reason for such being in the game beyond the author's own male rape fantasies. Ok, it's in the game, I was warned, let's check it out.

Now being told "yes it has shock content, no I'm not cutting that part off, deal with it sweetie and here's a Karen meme" is being presumptuous and overly confident about your game. Either way, it's on update 2 and it's already View attachment 463113 , so I guess I'm not missing out on much.

"Don't like it, don't play it"? Fine by me.

EDIT: I just noticed the author's posts above, and today no less. More aggression. Overwhelmed? Fatigued? Depressed? Frustrated? All a series of very serious conditions that require being addressed to, hopefully by a professional.

Bashing your fans is not addressing the situation.

There is no situation to address.

The scene is there because it sets off the plot and events that happen.

It's integral to the plot.

Removing that so you didn't have to view a little scene would mean the entire plot would need changing whereas it's easier for you to find a game yoiu'd prefer.

Not every game is going to be aimed at you, whining about it isn't going to change that.

I don't know what you are expecting. Nobody would redesign a game just because you don't happen to like something. You seem to have a problem being told "don't like it, don't play it" but that's all there is to say.

It's not going to change, it's an important scene to the plot.

Basically I agree, but we also need to keep it real.
Unlike Icstor, there is not a lot of money involved in this case.
I think he was at 1-200 / month before the hiatus.

I was using Icstor more as an well-known example. I'm well aware that there's a few monthly K$ difference here.
The comparison was more one of principle than a practical one.

I'm not going to scream about a dev 'stealing' from me if they go on hiatus without pausing their campaign, but it seems like a good idea to me; surely people are less likely to drop support if they aren't getting charged.

If the dev is using the patreon money he got while on a hiatus for the development of the game who really cares, he comes back with more money, more money is more resources to put in the development, more money is being able to hire other people to help develop the game, to help render, etc... I don't know what the problem is, he didn't bail out like so many others...

I would be much surprised if not all 12 of us are doing that consciously, wanting to support the dev through better or worse.

I am still a Patron but I downgraded my pledge from $20 to $1 for time being, mainly that given the considerable time that had passed since it was placed on hold, I feel that money could be better redirected to other games that are in active development.

Who knows, it is well possible that the game may in fact be no longer in development. Unfortunately, the relative lack of communications for a considerable amount of time that passed has made it impossible to determine that. I suppose, though, that if a year has passed, it may well be written off. When was it put on hold? Anyone know?

EDIT: It appeared to have been put on hold since July. I guess I will give it until July before I decide to cut pledge completely.

Dev has personal issues that prevent him from working on the game.

"Abandoned" is a tag that appears semi-automatically after a certain time.
It does not mean that the dev will never come back to further develop the game.
Several games have been marked "abandoned" but have received updates after that. In such cases, the abandoned tag will be removed.

I was bored enough apparently. Nothing fancy.
The hand holder script will skip the scene in question, with an option to toggle skipping in the preferences menu.

The scene gallery is very basic at the moment. Only the one patron scene included. (I will expand it into a proper gallery as the game progresses) If there are any current in-game scenes you think should be re-playable let me know, I'll look into adding them.

should work, game hasn't been updated since i made it. not able to test it right now, any errors or just no gallery menu? what platform?

It depends on the patreon posts too, the latest update was on July 12th, that's 6 months and there have been no updates since then, so it gets abandoned, doesn't always mean it's gone forever, but as long there are no updates, it's abandoned
