What is the best game for you that got cancelled?

I don't like games getting abandoned, that's like throwing a baby in a dumpster.
If you aren't responsible enough to raise a game properly you can put it up for adoption.
Use condoms to prevent the game from being conceived, or abort in the first trimester.
Once it pops out, there's no putting it back in... you're responsible for it.
Games don't just happen on their own, it takes two to tango. Who' the game daddy?
You can sue him for game support, there are programs that can help... there's no excuse to abandon a game.
This site has a lot of game lovers, caring people that would help find the game a good home. no questions asked

Some games on here erroneously tagged abandoned, are full grown adults, with children of their own.

Besides some of the ones mentioned (my two are Love and Submission and My Sweet Neighbors)

Star Maidens, Milfiest, and High Life had some of the best looking renders out there before being abandoned

Oh.. and then there's The Family Secret... That swindler

High Life looks great, but I didn't played it in his time. What was the reason for it being cancelled?

Love and Submission most definitely. I still hold onto hope that veqvil will return soon fully rejuvenized to continue that great game.

High Life is another one. Thought that game had massive potential as a female MC game. Just never got started, unfortunately.

I guess an honorable mention would be The Family Secret, but that game never really got started to begin with. But it was really orgasmic to look at and the sound was also really great. It's just too bad the developer can't seem to get his shit together.

Big Brother is as overrated as it gets. I absolutely love the designs and personalities of the characters (except Max and Ann), but everything else about that game was overrated. I think people are forgetting just how poorly made that game was during its runtime. Each update there was a boatload of criticisms from misleading promises, milking, and not listening to feedback. Some called it the best incest game, and to each their own, I suppose, can't change anyone's opinion, but it just wasn't that. During its time, Love and Submission was also being developed. That was the best incest game to me at the time.

Big Brother was always a pretty much average game with awesome renders... But MC hateable to play, low/average sexual scenes, a *LOT* of grinding and as you say updates with misleading promises. Before I knew about L&S I just couldn't understand how tf people considered that game the best incest game when DMD was faaaar ahead of that one. Sure everybody has his own opinion and stuff but MrDots actually keeped his promises, the renders were pretty good, enchanting history and if you didn't want to be all faithful to D, you could have a lot of sexual content with different characters... So as I said I respect everyone's opinions and tastes but damm it was annoying seeing how people idolized that game and it's relieving to see how time has put the game in the place that it deserves.

Cyra's cove: really nice art, but made in Unity instead of something sensible like Ren'py
Au-pair innocence: decent 3DCG renders, but completely ruined by the generic point & click mechanics while having an empty world and the dev focusing on the cuck content

Edit: just read the list posted earlier in this thread and Holiday Islands is also worth mentioning. The open world mechanics were properly designed and it has some nice-looking characters, but it never really gained support and did stupid things like adding the ugly goblin girl from Dating my daughter.

That's a shame... I would reccomend you, Dreams of Desire, Depraved Awakening and maybe Acting Lessons as finished games. Unfinished but with a lot of content or that almost surely are going to be complete: Being a DIK, Dating my daughter (if you like incest) Ecchi Sensei with the dark mind patch , Become a rockstar and City of Broken Dreamers.

Just reccomendations in case you are looking for games, of course.

Typical reasons I think... Though I think they had a team of 3, couldn't really get on the same page with direction of the game, came out strong with one or two versions of the game, couldn't keep up that same pace/work-flow they were doing after v0.1 came out, maybe they didn't like they weren't posting ICSTOR/Dark Cookie numbers with regards to patrons, and pretty much ghosted everyone around March 2019 with their last patreon post (they had a profile here and interacted with people/the thread regularly but haven't been seen since December 2018).

Which sucked because it was a promising Female MC (if you're into that kind of game) focused type of game.

Have you played Blooming Love? 100% lesbian game but really vanilla, it's a romance between sisters. Beautiful game.

That's sad, luckily we have Jessica O'Neil. That is actually a game with a good female MC where you can decide when to hace sex instead of the typical one with the girl in different forced sex scenes.

- Too ambitious for 1 or 2 mens developer, even if he were godly skill in coding & animation. You need a superb team minimum of +4 person to make such quality game.

- Suddenly the Dev were gone, cease to exist in late december 2017. Presumably dead irl, because no sign whatsoever, just gone. Or get caught making porn game irl & decide to abandon the ship in shameful.

It was dead until November 2019, when Dark Silver resurrect the game inside Glamour. At first Glamour's development, the BB characters were only a cameo/side characters. But in V0.19, Max is back on action (Male MC path), but will have slow update as Dev focus on the Kate (Female MC path).
