Why not? I am not subscribed to anybody and I'm certainly not gonna pay just to see a post. By allowing them to make some posts free, you can at least get a better idea of what you'd be supporting and make it more likely to draw you in. Besides I'm pretty sure Patreon allows them to see who's a paid subscriber and who isn't.

Devs have always had the option to select some (or for that matter, all) posts to be public and free instead of subscribers only before the recent change to count followers as subscribers, so nothing on that front has changed.
All the change did was to make the subscriber numbers misleading. It has no material effect on who gets to see what posts.
Yeah now that you mention it I remember I used to see (very rarely) posts that were publically accessible. But they made a big hoopla over this new feature, so I dunno. I would assume people can see who is a paid subscriber and who isn't.
This was said like, 3-4 times in the last year and WIAB was never focused. And before chapter 2 also, no focus too.
People still believe this?

Wish changelogs also included dates to them then it would be a bit easier to estimate an average time until the next release. Might help with all the questions for release dates or when a full release drops after a beta.

To be honest, I like Where It All Began more than Summer's Gone so its kind of lame that SG gets a lot more attention but I still like SG a ton so its fine. But I do wish WIAB got the same level of attention.
Right, both games will probably end up as abandoned/incomplete given the current development times and remake cycles but at least with WIAB you have the guarantee of not being left blue-balled to death.

I kinda have to agree the only reason i play SG is because I like Bella that much (the interactions between the evil cop and bella and the cat and mouse game between vanessa and bella have potential too)
but I already now that SG will be kinda boring without all the rivalry,ntr,intrigues... and so on and the story will probably much more rely on highschool/college female groupe drama and be more vanilla
so in my eyes WIAB has more potential for a more darker story, gangs,intrigues,rivalry and KINKS.... and so on and can craft a way more interesting and engaging story around that so
WIAB will probably by FAR take the cake for me even if I like bella build up alot but the story will be more boring just because you have way less options its like batman without joker ,or superhero story without failure or game of thrones without all the rivalry and intrigues
Its just boring...I saw it all the time with dik game and all the other BIG games that go in the direcction
