Honestly. I think they are in IDENTITY crisis.
The issue is that they have something...
But instead of completing the original vision, they are now deviating to commercialize on pieces of that vision, albeit while changing the focus of what people like about it now.
If I could give the Devs a piece of advise:
- Quit trying to make it like Second Life + World Of Warcraft + LifePLAY + etc.
- Do make it like WILD LIFE.
Do you want to be a trend setter or a trend follower?
Deliver a product that can be enjoyed alone. Once you have that, then worry about connecting millions of people into it.
I can imagine there is a real market for a truly adult MORPG. Make that your where to go next.
But DELIVER the product you original promised.
I think you are stopping short, catering to Steam, Watering Down The Vision, and generally failing to meet your original goals.
