You ever think about selling your models?

Yeah, I did. However, there are a few problems with that. Some meshes of those environments aren't total clean modeled and have some issues. To make those meshes properly I need more time which I'd rather spent on progressing the game at the moment. Another thing is, I would need to create materials in IRay which I'm not used to. My materials are only for octane at the moment which isn't used by too many Daz3D users. Also I occasionally use some bought textures where I'm not sure about the legal aspects if I would include them in my environments for sale. If I'm not allowed (I'm sure I can read that up on the sellers page, I just haven't had the time yet) I would be forced to create similar textures which again takes quite a lot of time.
But when creating new environments I'm trying to be more careful to be able to sell them at some point.

After I'm finished with the first act I may take some time to clean up the meshes and prepare them for selling them. But like I said, at the moment my focus is to finish the first act.

Don't get me wrong to each their own, but other than a convoluted map and a writer who should have stuck to books I have not been able to do anything remotely resembling gameplay.

Read for 20 minutes, click to peek in the shower, search around a station for ages (where everything looks the same but you have like 15 locations that are on different tiers that all look ther same), meet girl again. Read the second book again.

Dude call it a visual novel and bedone with it, but even those are more interactive.

Alternative solution: Can you add a skip dialogue button? I want to play a game, and sure I appreciate a story, but the story so far is "You woke up" "Others are present" "There is a secret" all that conveyed with the pace of a Twilight book.

You don't need to read the code blocks, just match the shape of them on each side. And once you try it a few times you'll recognise there are only a few different shapes.

In the left top box a code segment / image is shown. This code segment / image can also be found in the right scroll view. You have to click on it. There are 3 repetitions needed.
Don't try to read them line by line. Try it with pattern recognition. All code segments / images vary in structure and with that in coloring and indentations. It's more of a memory type game.


By the way, the help is not for patreons only. At the start of the game the basics are explained. After a failed attempt a box with a tip will pop up before you can start with your next attempt. Only the skip mini-game feature is accessible in high-tier patreon builds.

In options, at languages you have to select "English (Taboo)".

A few harsh reviews landing recently... it's always interesting when the game makes it to the "latest releases" again, you have all sorts of players come to it for the first time.

And some of them feel the need to rant "I wanted game type A. This is not game type A so i hate it: 2 stars".

I think I'll stay with the gang who actually like literary sci-fi, and understand that an unfinished game is a work in progress. This particular one started with intentions to make it free-roam sandbox. But along the way the dev has realised the story setup works better as a VN style.

amazing game, i do wish that there was some sort of introduction to all the mechanics (like for example the map) as to make it less confusing when you are thrown into the freeroam mode, but keep it up

You are right, the introduction for the free roam mode and navigation is missing but it is already on my to-do list. I wanted to add this when I revamp the map menu to make it a bit more user-friendly.

I just got to the free roam section and navigating the ship is confusing. The rooms look identical and for some reason, the label for the clickable elements in the world and menus just don't disappear even when my cursor is no longer on them.

Using the map makes navigation much more simple.
Just click on the icon in the bottom left, then choose map, then choose where you need\want to go.
There is a visual identifier for each room, plus it gives the name of the room, so it's really easy to instantly navigate to where you want to be.

I also had the text label sticking, clicking again (on neutral area) seemed to remove it.
Presume it's a little bug.

Which version do you play? 0.6.2 or the current one, 0.6.4? The not disapearing labels should be fixed in 0.6.4. If you are on the newest version, could you tell me a click order how this happened?

The reason the locations look similar is for one that the ship should look like its module-based build and I haven't had the time yet to customize each location a little bit.

Not trying to hate for no reason, but I'm still waiting for a 3DCG game where male protagonist looks more manly or simply natural. Why it always has to be some baby face pretty boy who looks like just graduated from high school...
