It's all working good so far! Thanks for all of this!!

Might I make a suggestion? Perhaps locking the android version into landscape mode?

I can't speak for everyone, but whenever I'm going through the game on my phone, I'm usually laying down on either a couch or my bed... And if I angle my phone just a tad off, it turns to this.

In Game:

Even with my phone upside down in portrait form, the game is still right side up. Not sure if I worded that properly...

Yeah, I probably should have.
I won't do that as of now, but next time I roll out an android ver, it's the first thing I'll do.

But glad it works.

I'm not going to post a formal review, but I feel like i ought to provide feedback from what I did see.

The art is lovely and the story seemed fine. It did have the "military fiction written by someone not that familiar with the military" vibe, which is a little bit of a minus, but that was minor and not very important to the story.

The big problem I had was with the UI. Since I'm playing on Mac, it's possible the behavior is different elsewhere (hence my hesitation to post the review with a star rating). But I had several very irritating issues:

* Most unity VNs try to borrow some of the better elements of Renpy (example: spacebar to advance text, escape to get to saves). This one does not, so you have to do some tedious mousing. That wouldn't be a big deal, except:
* The custom mouse pointer is offset. The click hits some distance above and to the left of the actual pointer, which makes clicking on the little tiny "save" button at the bottom painful.
* Even when maxed out, the text crawl is still agonizingly slow. That just takes all the fun out of reading. You can use clicking to jump, but that is a *lot* of unnecessary clicking, and sometimes hoses up transitions (or skips a line if it turns out there was less text there than you were expecting).
* The English is a bit broken (although generally understandable) and could use an editing pass from a native speaker

Thanks for your honest feedback.
Put out a 1.03 patch that should have solved most of the UI gripes you had during your playthrough (and they're all fully justified), if you ever decide to check out what comes next.

I was not trying to go realistic military or hard sci-fi, my goal was coherence rather than pinpoint accuracy, but it can be a bit off putting, this I know.

I thought my english was decent enough to be rated a bit above "understandable", but indeed, I unfortunately don't have a native to proofread, can't really do much about it for now, so it'll stay as is for some time ahah.

Once again, thanks a lot for the time you put to write this little review.

(oh and just in case, as I saw people ask, the "hide UI" is now on the Enter key)

Definitely! Game is certainly worth a second look.

You'll be fine, especially as your community grows and you can find more volunteers. I'm in several discords where users point out those sorts of word-choice issues as if they were typos or bugs, and it works. If your English actually *sucked* that sort of thing does not work, but it definitely does not. You just have some odd word choices, which are more of an immersion problem("who talks like that?") than an actual communication obstacle ("what does this mean?"). In other words, the story is not broken, it just takes a quality hit.

When in doubt take advantage of the renpy muscle memory most AVN players have developed. H (and/or middle click) for hide, space to proceed, escape to get to the saves. You already have the hard one (z-wheel for rollback).

For the game dev: I like this game so much it's like stellaren but porn. If I have the money no doubt donated it to you. For real it brings my love for the stellaren series watching this game with more anticipation now.

Great art, music, and, writing. Looking forward for more.

But...

...not to sound pedantic, but I like how you put into the fact that space battles are very likely to use light seconds as distance. OTOH, the word rudder is kinda jarring when they are dogfighting in the cosmos with no atmosphere in sight. I think the word rudder should be replaced with thrust vectoring and other related words. And bendable nozzles seems to be the only way of thrust vectoring so far.

Sent it out on Steam.
Just added a couple of barebones 3D cutscenes for now.

In case you've got a buck to send my way, reviews help a lot.
Otherwise, just a single click already goes far.

I'm sorry does anyone know why when the game launches, the title says made with unity, then an hourglass shows up at the bottom to show loading and then just a grey screen with nothing? Are my specs to low?

I'll be picking this up on steam tomorrow, just found this and am eager to try it out! I really appreciate your attitude and communication here.

Updated the game with a Battle Module in 1.04.

Still much work to be done, but at least I've got the basis down.
I barely knew how to code a month and a half ago, so I hope nothing breaks (I tested it, it shouldn't... Buuuuuut... You never know).

At the moment, I'll focus on additionnal story content. Hope I can be a bit more regular in the updates.
(But I swear coding makes you cough blood).

So yeah, nothing really knew if you played it already, but I hope adding a gameplay element will attract a couple more players.

If you've got any feedback, I'm all ears here.

Thanks for reading.

Oh, and the Linux and Mac version are untested, I hope they run.
