Same thing happened to me at the start of 2020. I was playing one of the new releases at the time, then my computer crashed. I don't tend to backup my porn folders so lost my save and didn't feel like starting over at the time. A few months later I saw they were working on a merge so I just waited. Still waiting because if this merge ever comes out I'll be needing to restart it anyway. That's best case scenario. If this game is dead then I also don't want to restart it just to see the last few days of a game that's never going to get another installment.Man i had to format my hard disk drive approximately on August and forgot to backup the RenPy folder, totally my fault. I've been trying to delay to play this game as much as possible cause with my luck i know week 4 will be released as soon as i start playing it but holy. Its been what, 1 year and a half already since last update?Kinda sus. (Honestly im not reading the 100 previous pages to see what happened or whats the current state of the update
I guess its time to download every week and play again since i have nothing better to do and im up to date on the majority of other games...
The current best case scenario is that they find a new translator(because 18 months was clearly not enough time for the dev to improve his language skills enough to only need someone to polish text; or find a translator and slowly get them up to speed) and go back to releasing stand-alone days for the forseeable future.
The merge has been shelved and it's very likely that when they do start working on it again, they'll start from scratch.
So, even if they do start releasing content soon(relatively speaking), you still have year-long delays to look forward to with the next merge, or whenever they decide to implement the character cards, or journal or calendar or whatever other minor mechanics they introduce that turn into the Enigma fucking code, somehow.

If they somehow get back on schedule, I look forward to seeing them announce how all the work put in allows them to do the merge faster, almost like it would be possible to do in the same day....*ahem*..
To be honest though, merges should be scrapped. They should just continually update the same project and release that otherwise they're just making more (proven to be minor) work for themselves. I'm sure you could still even release smaller content updates as a bunch of files you paste over the game you have if they wanted to give that option so you aren't redownloading the whole thing each time, the days scripts & images are already separated into other folders and I'm sure just altering that logic so the end of a script has a goto method that sends it to an end-check-or-credits file that would be super small so it can them bounce it onto the newly added days instead of replacing the whole days previous script to let it go to the next new day.
But who knows, they need to actually do some work first.

They would have less to moderate if they marked it as abandoned since I'm sure the activity on the thread would go down after the initial peak of it being marked as such, which it deserves since it's level of development in well over a year has been exactly akin to that of an abandoned game. It hasn't even had teaser pictures for crying out loud, lol.
Mods need to put the stamp on the thread already.

Maybe it will have the effect it did on Milfy City. Marked abandoned, 5 minute update released, abandoned tag removed.
If the mods don't mark Offcuts abandoned after almost 30 months of no update then I doubt they will mark this one.

I think Mods here have a bot pinging them for any post containing the word Milfy. Happens to me in lots of other threads too. Wonder how much that dev is paying them.
It looks like the week 3 compressed was down. Guessing that's what you were trying to download.

That's why I try to move the conversation to about in-game stuff instead of development. It's been a while since we've talked about the actual content of the game.
April is apparently the deadline for getting marked as abandoned according to another person here, and he was basing that on a mod saying it. Not sure if that's accurate, but it's something. I'm leaning towards it being legit, because "Come Inside" was marks as Abandoned a few months ago, and the dev didn't seem to agree as they were still making posts like BC does. Maybe even more frequent than BC.
You could do the same as they do on their discord: flood relevant posts under pat gifs and cats pictures... Or create reaction memes from random manga titled "Blue-sama when..."
As I said before, they could make some bullshit 5Mo update, maybe some kind of special episode(lol), just to reset the 18months(?) limit.
IMO, what BC have done every 2.5 months with his BS patreon posts should tell you that he's not above that sort of practice.
But at this point I don't think this game statut on F95 is that important, I mean it litteraly take a couple of seconds to see that this game wasn't updated since 2020, I'm certainly not gonna cry over people who feel scammed because they couldn't look into that before pledging.
Also I don't think an abandonned tag would impact their patreon or motivate them to actuallty work, BC could litterally announce he's abandonning his project and still get 2k/month until the end of times.
People are free to burn their money into whatever project they want, I don't really care.
So yeah, good for BC, I guess and I certainly won't blame him for that.
That's sad for other devs who work on their projects and desesperatly need money, but hey, that's life.

Yes, I saw that on Discord. My favorites are the ones that talk about Blue Sama finishing year 1. Ha ha ha ha. Game released July 2018. Four years later and it hasn't progressed past month one. Wonder if they'll still be posting "year 1" shit in 2026 when its on month two.

Nah, not a dreamer. Never said where it would be on month two. Seeing how great and amazing this dev team has been it'll probably be day one of month two at the beginning of 2026 and the last day of week one will be finished in 2038.
Since Bluecat is "working" on month two right now, according to Skummy, I'd say technically we are in month two, just not released.

Btw wasn’t around for it when it happened but what’s the consensus on why Blue just stopped posting updates back in 2020? Just bad work ethic/got lazy and realized he could make 3k a month doing nothing from home like all those internet ads promise?

It is so disappointing to see that nothing has happened yet. Anything would be better than nothing.
I understand that finding good translators for an adult game could be hard, and for a game with this kind of content even harder. If you can't find a translator, write it in broken English and have a native speaker clean it up. Plenty of games are done that way. It's an adult game, not the next great novel, it doesn't need to be perfect.
