All of which are byproducts of HS2's modding community ripping out assets from other IP* or porting shit from the Daz3D store and using it for the game's studio. As I said before, Cari just makes do with what he has and only commissions assets when necessary/if he has something specific in mind.

So, I looked through some of the new songs here and I don't really hate all the new ones, most I wouldn't have even noticed were changed and some are actually better to my taste than the old ones, but there are some that are a really weird choice for replacements.
The one that stuck with me the most here was the alex first sex song, the new one is not bad or anything and the lyrics actually make a lot of sense to alex but the change in the type of music is weird, the old one had some energy that really complimented the sex scene, but the new one is one of the most slow/romantic songs in the entire game, it just feels like a really weird choice. If this song was put in a more romantic scene of "love making" it would have been perfect, but that scene of alex is not a "love making" scene, it's a "fucking like animals" scene, and putting the most romantic song posible while they are fucking like their lives depended on it is just so weird.
Most new songs have this thing were they have more energy in them that their predecessor but if handled correctly it could work out fine, but a few have the same problem as alex's where they change the type of music itself.
Also, "Xenosong (new)" doesn't sound like music at all, it sounds like someone was doing a very weird audio test that went wrong and uploaded it anyways.
Doble also, out of all the songs that could be removed, the only one I didn't like in the entire game survived this... I'm talking about Nancy's first sex (elevator) song. As a native Spanish speaker and someone who hates THAT genre of music, I had to mute the music during that scene, and out of all of them, that one had to survive...

U know what. I will go through the 0.8.6 version from zero again with the new musics. Then customized the old song mod for myself. As far as I understand it should be as easy as deleting the old song from mod folder to retain new songs. Someone do correct me if I am wrong haha

I think the mega link for android is wrong, when i open it the size is over 9 Gb and the title is version 8.0.5 PC

On Mac, when a new update drops, how do I update? Just replace the .app file? Will my saves carry over?

I usually put it somewhere else and make sure it works before I replace the old one. But either way should work fine. And ya, your saves are under ~/Library/RenPy somewhere, not in the .app bundle, so you shouldn't lose anything.
