Yeah, i'm not happy about that. I mean it's fine to have sex with her if i was on her route (which i will probably do one day ), but because i'm on the love route with em, let me be in that route! Why can't i have a choice about that, like most of the game?

It's like i'm betraying em, doesn't feel nice. I didn't even flirt, like i get the +10 for the shower from episode 1 + whatever for the blowjob i cannot avoid in episode 2 and that it? i mean i could avoid everything else, i even fail the check on the train when she gonna smoke (gladly, i'm on em route ), the game give me choice but here in episode 11 they are nada, it feel really unpolish in my humble opinion.

Edit: even with the cheatmod and putting 0 corruption with ash, i get the scene. I don't have the courage to began the whole game from the start to not have this scene

On the topic of the MC behing unreal, stupid or whatever, i don't feel that a bit. Maybe it's because i was really awkward in my youth with girls, so i think he is not that bad at all. And the mc can be play as honest, which is always a plus for me, because that's what i am. Nothing wrong with playing what i am not, but in the romance category, i think that honesty is what make a good relationship.
yeah, Ashley's path entirely hinges on a single choice in that a dialog with Emily... :D everything else is pretty much forced after that. she is very aggressive, knows her way around men, and how to lower their resistance to zero, and MC is a horny virgin.

The point I made about the social skills you develop in childhood is a base from which you develop as you grow older.
The reason I carried on playing was that I hoped the character would improve somewhat. I liked the story with Samantha when he attempted to rescue her, it was quite a powerful scene which I thought was very sweet of him to do, even though he got a really bad beating for it. Then we have the interactions with Samantha going forward and eventually the sisters story which I really enjoyed too. I put aside the way the mc acted so I could read those stories. The fact I don't like the way the MC reacts or speaks sometimes, doesn't mean I dislike the game, I just dislike the weird behavior of the MC at times especially during or after the sisters story.
I can verify what you say regarding showering us women with compliments is the polar opposite mostly, unless the male wants something, which makes me cringe. I understand what your saying. I guess I was just giving my thoughts and thats all they where and if I offended anyone including the developer, it was honestly not my intention at all.

I just thought this game would have been better if you could select who you wanted to be with at the end of the game, which would have been wonderful. I know the developer at the beginning said you will end up with Emily, I just hope that is not the case, and you can actually choose. I know the points are for each individual girl or side girl, and Emily seemingly is the focus. I know a number of people would have liked this to even have some kind of harem system, which is kind of fun I guess. As i said, it's not the game I have the problem with, its' the MC behaving unrealistically that's all. I love the fact that he compliments the girls, but sometimes I think it's just fake because as you have said irl this kind of thing is not common sadly.

Haha yes he did take a rather long break of more than a year from chapter 8 to chapter 9, which was tiny compared to what went before, but at least the new episodes are coming far quicker than they used to do. :)
the MC indeed has a base, he can function for the most part in society, being polite and respectful enough, around men. it's mostly around women that he is completely incompetent and inadequate, which entirely by chance, works for him in the best way possible.
you expressed your opinion and had a healthy discussion afterwards, that's entirely fine. it's just that your first comment that triggered the discussion, you came off as demanding some other dev takes over and change the game completely with the same characters.
you are invested in the game, you like some parts, dislike others, that's pretty much the standard experience. the dev can't please everyone, but at least he should stay true to his initial vision/intention, instead of losing his way and trying to milk his supporters like we have seen so many others do.
we still don't know for sure if we won't be able to choose at the end. that could change depending on the dev. all we know for sure is what is in the game : Emily is the only one with love points and corruption points, all the others have corruption points only or are event flag based. a relationship with love growing out of a corruption path is not unheard of. in the last side story, Emily forgave MC for being a manwhore, but it's not canon, it could be very different in the canon main story.

You can dominate Ash though. Which opens up her backstory discussion later.

dominance during sex. but it still doesn't let you have much freedom in the encounters happening at all with her.
I didn't play much after that ep was originally dropped. I gave up on this when the dev himself stated that Emily was the only LI and Ash and the others were just side chicks with no real paths.

I really dislike Ashley, the MC needs to grow a backbone and tell her to fuck off
I find the single choice clicks to be slightly more annoying than Ashley. And I have to add, I dislike Ashley as much as you do...

Just not as much as a bunch of useless "non choice" choices that break the auto forward feature every 3rd click.

Just sayin'

Just quoting the Walkthrough:

Quote/
"-DECIDE TO GO SEE HOLLIS OR NOT
This is important to Samantha future personal story arc. But if you don't want to see
Hollis in the game any more you have to go see him. Ignoring him will just make him
pissed." /End quote

=======================================================

This bit in the walkthrough is, somewhat poorly expressed.

I'm not quite sure how to decipher the above explanation.
Does it mean that not seeing Hollis ever again will be better for Samantha's story?
Or is it, if he comes back, then that will expand her arc more?

Cause at this point I'd be more inclined to go see him just to piss him off even more and tell him off to his face.

I don't recall the specifics, but I think I remember reading that if he shows up again, it's not going to be a good scene for Sam or the MC, so I usually pick the options that will result in him not showing up again.

Thanks for the reply.

But that's just it though. That's what confuses me here. Because I can see how her story could be written to go stale if her daily routine returns to normal. I'm trying to keep her character in the forefront of the story (or at least for my playthrough) even though I believe I read somewhere that Samantha is not a main LI. I would still like to keep her in "the loop" of the story so to speak.

Just like I can also see it twist into; if Hollis returns it'll be a game over scene because everyone gets murdered in their sleep.

So as I pointed out, I think it was very poorly described in the walkthrough. It would have been better explained with something like: "Don't go see Hollis again if you're not interested in Samantha's story arc, or See Hollis again if you want to keep Samantha's story spicy!". Or whatever, just wish it was a bit clearer.

Emily is the only LI in the game. all the others are side chicks. it's just that Sam and Ash need more corruption/attention to unlock their content.
the consequences of that choice with Hollis are not the game yet, so the one that wrote the walkthrough cannot know which choice is the "right" one and how it affects Sam's story... that's why it's vague.
you don't really need walkthroughs for VNs anyway.
