I can help you with this one weird trick ( I don't know who hate me, but I bet they are mad now).
On your game.ini, replace
EXIT=esc
with
EXIT=f12
and this will avoid you many painful moment.
Wow, cool. I didn't think to check the .ini (games with that sort of keyboard config are pretty rare, IMO). I had thrown the game into the "eventually" pile because of the number of times I'd absent mindedly hit ESC and closed it down. Maybe I'll actually finish playing it now.

I played this game a bit back when the previous version first came out, though I didn’t play much to be honest. I did enjoy what I played, the Fire Emblem style of gameplay was a good time and works well for this type of game. I think Bosun and the corruption aspect just isn’t up my alley personally. I suppose I was hoping for more of a lighthearted Fire Emblem-esque game just with hentai.
Anyway I haven’t kept up with the game much, but from what I’ve read it’s basically getting reworked? I keep seeing conflicting points though, so I’d like a more concrete idea of what’s changing. You said no more POV shift and Bosun, does that mean the game would focus mostly on Marek? I do like the idea of the more typical Fire Emblem type Lord getting into hentai situations, though I would still like to see stuff like incest involved. The game is also going to be less chapters, so the pacing of the story will be faster? I certainly don’t mind when things are spread out, even more so if it allows for character friendships and relationships to be more fleshed out. Chapters can feel a bit long though, especially if you’re stuck restarting a mission because you’re an idiot such as myself.

If you want Fire emblem-esque h-games, lookout for games made on SRPG studio. This allows games of such style to be made.

Okay, so let me give you some details what's going on:
At the moment, entire game will basically be reworked. About 80% of character graphics is new. Most levels are also done from the scratch. As I mentioned some time ago, I've scaled down the scope of the game: from ~50-60 playable characters to ~30. I plan to have around 12 chapters instead of 60+ of original plan. Those chapters will however be much larger than before. For those familiar with Fire Emblem series, I've basically changed my design philosophy for this game from Path of Radiance-style to Genealogy of the Holy War-styled missions. Game has compeltely new storyline, new villains, and new style of corruption (although I'm still undecided between two potential approaches how ~mechanically~ characters will be corrupted).
As of now, I have five chapters completed, and at current speed, I'm making new one per every 10-12 days. This however doesn't account for porn content. But barring unforseen events, I could realistically set out potential release date for early September, at least if I get my long holidays within this timeframe.

wow i wasted 10+ hours just to play an ugly fatso. First i thougth the second marek killed the emporer he will be corrupted. Than i thougth okay short sequence with bosun till he is killed by the assasins. All i have achived is gone. Set backs are ok, if you keep something. Even if it's only your mc and his stats. But all the carefully placed stats und unit upgrades wasted. And even the one unit that came to the dark side was reseted.
I really belived marek will slowy turn evil, i mean there were hints. But this was really dissappointing.
Your best game was "The dark Lord" part 1 (while you still had the taint). Part 2 had nearly no corruption, and was dissapointing.
I hope the reworked version will be better.

I know it might be too little too late.
I just came here to say that I didn't mind Bosun all that much, and while I think some of the criticism was fair, you probably didn't deserve to be torn a new asshole for the vision you had.

My biggest regret for the 0.23 version is that I can't see the last corruption. There is a lot of corruption scene that are well set up in the first part thanks to all the interaction between characters, the whole "fall of Pavan" arc is very well done, and I like that, corrupted or not, the characters have enough personality to make their corruption worthwhile.
On the small default, I feel like there is indeed too many characters, and that some of them will be a little redundant (for instance, while I want to see Junia's corruption, I feel this character could easily be merged with Cornelia without losing much of the plot).

Hey tjord, first off, thank you for putting so much effort into making this the best possible version of itself. since we are so close to the end, could you give us a teaser of either some big changes or plot?

What you quote was an ideal scenario, and there are too many things that can go wrong in those kind of project to expect the ideal case to happen, especially since Covid tend to drain people's creativity. Now, I can and hope I am wrong here, but december is a much more realist deadline
