I edited the conversion. I agree with what you say. You're right in everything but kph to mph conversion, 100-130 km/h are 62 - 81 mp/h...
And even there is no speed limits there doesn't mean that's a racetrack. Most people stay at 130 km/h...
You are right, u can end up in jail if you organize a race on the autobahn or compete in street racing. Mostly because of reckless driving and endangering others.I'm amazed at your logic. Yes, in Germany, driving on some autobahns is allowed without a speed limit. But it is movement. You can enter the autobahn and drive without a speed limit. But if you try to organize a race on the autobahn, you'll end up in jail. You're confusing driving and street racing.
I never said the Autobahn is a race track. It would be a boring race anyways, is goes straight ahead most of the time, with some liiight corners here and there.
Sections without speed-limits are just allowing you to DRIVE as fast as u want. It has consequences: ALWAYS check ur mirrors and keep looking who is behind you, especially the left lane. The difference in speed can be huge. I often get overtaken by cars with 250+km/h.
A classic example in germany:
You drive with lets say 130-160km/h mostly on the middle lane (cause the right lane is occupied with trucks), and you want to overtake someone who is slightly slower. You then enter the left lane accelerating even, but still someone from behind can fly towards with you 100km/h+ in speed-difference. It gets even worse when 2 trucks overtake each other (its called elephant-race in germany
If you are the person driving the Porsche or Lamborghini, or the sleeper-car. Always be aware that traffic can swerve onto your lane at any time and be ready to brake hard. And never drive recklessly or aggressively. German drivers are aware of that, and the systems works pretty well. The Autobahn is one of the if not the safest highway in the world.
Btw, if you want to have fun with your supercar, dont use the autobahn. Drive to Nürburgring in the Eifel and take a ride on the Nordschleife
