Be thankful that it isn't society - otherwise you wouldn't survive 24 hours, probably. We speak about GAMES, something we do during our FREE TIME, to relax and relieves from stress caused by society, jobs, duties, etc. - therefore, a "safe space" where nothing IRL could be impacted by a bad choice/decision. People are usually way more aggressive when the consequences can affect their family, to not say their own life...
I work ten hours a day and I'm close to a workaholic, I have two kids and a wife, a fucking huge bunch of blood-sucking relatives, 1700€ of monthly mortgage, several chronic health issues, a house to repair and renovate, and I'm an insomniac. And I'm quite the "standard guy", nothing exceptional, I know hundred of people like me, with only minor variations.
So sorry not sorry, I need to blow off some steam sometimes - like everyone, in fact - and therefore I enjoy things that give me no stress
at all. And sadly, I'm not a fan of
"My Little Pony" or
"The Carebears", so I search entertainment elsewhere than in "Peace & universal frienship" universes. Slaughtering pixels is a way to not do it IRL, for example...
It's not a matter of being fragile - a fragile/woke person would probably get a fatal stroke just by reading games' titles, here. It's a matter of
"Fuck, I found a nice game, I really like and enjoy 99% of story and content, and there is this fucking 1% that really bothers me... Since the dev itself is able to read and reply to comments, unlike what happens for most AAA games, I'll expose my problem, and we'll see what happens".
Because there is ALWAYS a possibility, in particular when it's a very small DETAIL, that it was an error/mistake - it won't be a "mistake" when half the content is against your kinks, of course.
If it's something that don't bother you a lot (I don't like Iggdra because I don't like abs for women, but there is other "fine" women around), you'll skip it: it isn't really important, you can't like ALL characters, especially when some of them are clearly designed to be annoying brats that should/will be tamed (*cough* Lilibet *cough*).
But when it's something that breaks your suspension of disbelief, it's a way bigger problem. Because we speak about a story, and if you don't have any suspension of disbelief while reading it, then it's either a bad story, or you're a bad reader. And clearly, the first option isn't really relevant here since several people - including myself - seems to enjoy it. Of course, it's sometimes "illogical", it's a medfan universe with magic and alternate timelines - that's why suspension of disbelief is something essential, otherwise you'll trash everything after five minutes because "it's not a realistic story".
This is not a competition where the one who is the most impaired is the most right. It's sad for you, and I mean it, but this is not something that make you more right nevertheless. You aren't currently on Twitter in a SJW thread.
You would want us to believe that you can have enjoyed a game, movie, serie and NEVER EVER said "but..." after a positive assessment? Really?
And in-between are rarely writing anything in game's threads... The silent majority, as usual.
Tags aren't always accurate - in fact, errors in tags seems to be way more common that "perfect tagging".
For most people, a "NTR" tag isn't fully relevant: lot of games implement a mechanism to avoid it COMPLETELY, some games are clearly focused on it and would never allow to avoid NTR scenes - otherwise you would delete half the game, etc. And you have games that SHOULD be "NTR-free" and have few (or one single...) NTR/NTR-like detail.
Is the tag "necrophilia" something you search for? For me, it is a HUGE turn off - no way, whatever happens. But following an advice from a trustful guy, I however played a game (four, in fact, because story is across four volumes) with this tag... The "dead" are (ultra-hot) female zombies, 100% intact (absolutely NO wounds), and are just looking like girls who would be HEAVILY stoned (50/10 on Snoop Dog's scale). Nothing close to a (rotten) inanimate corpse fucking - which is what I think about with "necrophilia". And there is even a plot twist about these girls. It's
"I walk among zombies", FYI. I really enjoyed the game, which obviously has its "horror" part, but horror is something I like a lot anyway.
So the fuss about "NTR"... Go see what you can have with "loli" or "harem" tags, you'll enter in another level of debate. Seeing guys speaking about the fact that girls within the harem should not play together without the owner - otherwise "it is NTR" is something else... And the simple definition of a "loli", according to the two major opinions, would give you headaches instantly - while losing the last bit of faith in humanity you could still had.
