Very simplistic to dismiss all criticism of the upgrade contents with the most extreme versions of reaction to it and pretend it's all fine.
There's multiple angles to it, and multiple people reacted differently to different aspects of it. Yes, the discussion has gotten stale around it, but it's been many pages, and people have pointed out plenty of different issues.
1. Shift of personality (togs himself says Kiki was never planned to be like that so that people notice this jarring shift is hardly surprising)
2. The joke about fucking builder dude right away not being well delivered
3. The inability to define your precise relationship / and her behavior
4. Her backstory, in different ways
... probably more; didn't really all of the quite stale debate either way.
For me, it's all about how it's presented. Neither the protagonist nor Kiki act like people to me. You can compare them to Lois, or Kara - and how long that took for actually anything to develop. There was some attempts to make it like people interacting with each other, getting to know each other, and then ramping things up. But for a while now everything seems incredibly rushed.
Kiki is just the most extreme example. When you ask her why she feels like becoming a slave, and she reveals that she was date-gang raped, and the protagonist basically goes "cool, show me your tits" (and also possibly "let me grab that footage") ... that's just ... words fail me how anyone could think there's no problem with that.
It's not the background. It's not the character. It's certainly not the reader. It's absolutely definitely how it's written.
Had she mentioned 13 updates ago that past decisions got her into trouble. And had she then slowly build a rapport with the protagonist, and perhaps along the way revealed some of the tragic consequences of her actions, and had this then slowly developed into the relationship as is now few people here would be talking about it (yes, some people would always complain about that backstory; it's noise, filter it out...).
Instead, again, it's completely rushed through. Protagonist comes across as some sort of inhumane, uncaring monster, and what Kiki needs is therapy, and not ... whatever this is supposed to be.
But whatever. It is what it is now. Update pressure will probably ensure that these things keep happening.

Well. If you took a deeper look, you will see that it's the same people who are using the facepalm every single time, and they aren't just facepalming me, but also others who like Kiki, and also posts that is clearly an opinion.
Beside that many of your quotes are out of context and most are opinions IMHO.
I don't take people seriously when they use a faceplam on every single post from people they disagree with.

After a message in which I gave precise references showing that the messages in which you simply expressed your opinion without distorting the facts did not get any facepalm, you are now claiming that some people "use a faceplam on every single post" of yours. Your claim just doesn't make sense when only a third of your messages (those that were clearly a misunderstanding or misrepresentation of the reality) got a facepalm. You try to paint yourself as a victim, but you are the one who is repeatedly trolling.

You're right. On reflection, it does seem rushed. I'll give some thought as to how to mitigate that.
You're not wrong, but there does seem to be a tendency (Of which I'm sure I'm guilty of too) to analyze things one doesn't like in avns to a far greater level of scrutiny than things they do like. As to why this is hyperfocused on in this game thread; I think mavirab above hit it on the head.
I'm also surprised people are so invested one way or another in Kiki, she came off as a quintessential side character to me; someone who would fill content until more with Kari or Lois happens. If Lois or Kari were a real person, what do you think their reaction would be to MC describing Kiki's behavior to them?
