When I go to load my save from the first game, I get:

CRITICAL ERROR!
Nonexistent progress flag reference:01 Inventory_Phone, will return false automatically

My save is after the credits, in the limbo area where you can only see the time machine but can't move. Anyone know how to fix this?

Edit - tried a new game to see what happened, and after typing in my name I got the same error. Corrupt game and I need to redownload?
No. You either extracted/unpacked the English.zip/English_unrated.zip file or they are outdated - incompatible with current version.

Very strange, would you be able to tell me how many saves you have? I have like 200+ myself from all the testing during, there shouldnt really be any limitations at all to how many saves you can have however the loading menu will get slower to load when you start the game because there is so many thumbnails
I too had these kinds of problems. Disappearing saves, and many PC crashes. I also had a lot more saves in the folder, I don't remember exactly how many, but it must have been around 500. Yeah, I'm a little frenetic sometimes

Edit: Oh, and it was on the R7PE version too

How much RAM do you have, because that could for sure be a factor that it loaded in so many thumbnails that your RAM just shat itself and i assume this would be on a 64 bit version of the game?, i did not put in a limit on how many saves you can have, i would imagine that the save/load menu slows down more and more before it ultimately gives up, but it depends on your specs. Back in the early days of development i used the full screenshot without resizing it and then it was really really evident much the menu slowed down so i had to fix that, but its still a fairly large thumbnail and it does pretty much load them all it, however it only loads them in once now, it doesnt rebuild the menu every time you open it as it did in the past which also improved performance significantly,

Yes, I guess you're right. The game was running on a small, fairly old configuration, on a 64-bit Windows 10, 8 Go of DDR3 and an AMD FX 4300 at 4 GHz, plus two NVIDIA 730 GT graphics cards in SLI. The RAM was indeed almost saturated as soon as the game was launched, and when I unloaded the "saves" folder the game was fluid again and without problems.

Is there an easy way to edit the game's script or character's names?
Did you ever get an answer to this. Not that I want to edit anything, I'd just like to peek at the script/text. It's kinda like how some people read the last page of a book first...especially with the really good ones so you aren't surprised/disappointed when you get to the end of it

Damn! Now I do want to edit the script because at some point the days stop being listed on screen and I was counting on that because I knew that there were at least 21. But when I unzip those files in the Languages folder all I get are various dialog texts

Where do I want to insert the Days so it shows like this here?:

Fade |Day 3...
