VN Ren'Py A Mother's Love [Part 1-14 Plus] [OrbOrigin]

I'm only partway through the game, but it has me wondering...

I've seen people do Language translation/mods for a lot of VN's, and I'm wondering if that's something they have to get permission from the original creator to do, or if it's all assumed to be fair game (no pun intended)?

Because I am tempted to make a "translation" of this game, only instead of another language I would be fixing things that were clearly lost in translation. (Example: "You finally bed with her?" --> "You finally slept with her?") Some things I would leave intact so as not to change the tone/voice of the game, as tempting as it would be to tweak phrases like "filling her with your man meat."

Some of it is probably just bad Google Translate, like "John already left the household" instead of "John already left the house."

Is this something anyone ever does, or is it only acceptable for complete language conversion?

any tips?

It's a known bug in the game. I remember a fix someone posted here, but you probably have to search a bit. I also fixed that in my Mod, but using it in the middle of the game is maybe not compatible to your saves. If you can't find the game patch I can try to make one.

When the MC meets Mrs. Watson, you may or may not give her your business card. If you don't give it to her, John will punish Silvia for not having educated MC about it before, right after the scene of MC and Nicole on the Little Big Pong beach. If you give it to her, John will "reward" Silvia with something more fun for both of them.
