I would do the exact opposite but that's because incest doesn't appeal at all with zero thrill in it for me. So incest would become the subject of secondary storylines, with Ellie & Patricia being present but Dylan being scouted by a top flight European football club & moving away from home for an exciting future. (Goodbye to the 2nd MC concept....next game could be 'The Further Adventures of Dylan" which could take another 25+ years to develop... Don't complain Dylan fans because he'll have his own ultra-slow, never-ending game, with dozens of characters, duplicate storylines & unrealistic porn scenarios, including school-boy fantasy MILFs with huge breasts. It will be 'event based' with each event taking around 2 or more months to complete).Focus the story on the family!
That means Dylan, Ellie and Patricia! These are the taboo characters that make the story interesting, exciting and drive the money machine for him.
But that's not to say he should disregard other characters. No! He should just make their stories shorter. What do we care about the story with Sam, with Aiden, with the old guys, the young guys, etc.?
That should be the supporting cast. There's just nothing special about them fucking with these characters in the end.
They can all serve as jerk-off templates!
But the family! That's the thrill of AWAM. Or at least it should be. But apparently L&P sees it differently when he says Sam and Aiden have the most interesting hetero stories.
I would immediately scrap both side jobs by winding them up, or letting them continue "off-screen." I would also introduce elements within some existing storylines to speed things up, while abandoning the idea of 30 playable days, to allow for possible time jumps, if necessary.
Apart from the above, finishing within the decade, meaning greater speed, would be a priority when it came to writing. It would be made explicit via the text, that certain relatively minor characters would not be having sex with Sophia, e.g. Mr Murray retires, those two old men go home, Janitor Clark gets a job elsewhere....& that's just for starters. Several characters would be written out, or just never reappear & a number of duplicate storylines shut down. I'd hold a vote for which ones to "can" first.
There'd be consequences (probably difficult to write in several senses), for Sophia, resulting from her decisions, in an attempt to return to the "realism" that's been abandoned.
