If you're using steam, right click starbound in your library. Go to Manage -> Browse Local Files -> Unpack the file there. Alternatively go to your file explorer and enter the directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Starbound

Do not do this while your game is running.
This shouldn't happen, but if a fatal error occurs immediately upon bootup do the following:

• Check each mod to see if one of them is causing the error

If you're getting lag issues:

• Run your Starbound launcher as administrator (can also help with fatal error potentially)
• Disable vsync (note you have to actually start the game for starbound.config file to appear in the storage folder)
• Download Optimizebound in the Steam Workshop

*Note this game has some occasional lag issues. I listed the major fixes, but there are some more if you look for them. Recommend this site

. Also despite all the fixes you may still experience lag here and there.

*IMPORTANT* One last thing I forgot to mention. You will need to download all the individual race mods from the steam workshop that correlate with the races in my mod list. The mods on steam add the actual races while the mods in my folder allow you to have sex with them.

*Also after some testing found out the braxien mod messes with clothing creation. Not sure if that's just for me, but if your game crashes when trying to make cloths, just delete that file.

EDIT: Decided to just make a steam mod

. This has all the race mods, cheat mods, and optimization mods you need to get right into the game. Just follow the following steps and you can immediately start playing

1. Download the mod pack I provided.
2. Download Starbound on Steam.
3. Subscribe to all the mods in my collection.
4. Place the mods in your Starbound Steam folder (Right click starbound in your library -> Manage -> Browse Local Files)
5. In the same Starbound Folder set Starbound Launcher, in the win64/32 folder, as admin, to decrease lag (preferably the 32-bit version cause it runs better)
6. Start the game (again preferably the 32-bit version)
7. Go to settings and change the zoom to x4 or x5 (more zoomed in means less lag., I use x5)
8. Disable Discord and Local Play in settings (heard it also helps with lag)
9. Enjoy!
10. (You can also go to the starbound folder, go into the storage folder and pull up the storage file, then edit vsync to "off" through the notes app if you're still dealing with lag after you've started the game.)

Hey thanks, I try my best but keep in mind I don't add every single game on this site to the list. Lately I've decided not to add games that have very low ratings to the list but I will keep any low-rated games that are already on the list. As for updating, I'll try to remember to update from top to bottom, but usually I add the latest games in the middle to confuse people
